Your typical pillowcase dress is made from an actual pillowcase but this pattern isn't quite that easy. C. chose this pretty peach and cream fabric and a coordinating fabric for the shoulder straps and hem.
As with all of our projects this dress uses some of her previously learned skills. The straps were similar to the ones she made for the apron and the tote bag, and the casing at the top of the dress is a lot like the one she made for the PJ's. C. learned how to use the overcasting stitch on her seams, as well as, how to hem the dress. This project also reinforced C.'s pattern reading skills.
I am so proud of the great job she did on her lovely pillowcase dress!
