My Little Seamstresses

It's never too early to learn how to sew. These two students are 8 years old and are well on their way to learning the basics of sewing.

Their aprons are coming along very nicely. The seams are getting straighter and straighter over time. K. and M. embellished the pockets with rickrack today and attached them to their aprons.

In their next class the girls will be sewing the lining to the apron, this will involve a lot of straight and curved machine stitching. The final touch will be hand sewing the buttons to complete their aprons.

I can't wait to hear about the Easter dinner that K. & M. are going to cook together for their families while wearing their coordinating aprons!
