Proud Mama

I came across this recently, tucked away in my box of fabric. It got me reminiscing about my little creative daughter and all of the fabulous works of art that poured from her heart.

This is a little skirt that she designed from leftover fabric, she must have been around 8 or 9. I remember seeing her work on it but she never showed me the finished product. I'm pretty impressed, she actually lined the white fabric since it was pretty thin. I don't ever remember teaching her how to make pleats, I guess she figured it out on her own - and some of them have contrasting fabric inside the pleat. Maybe she could teach me a thing or two.

Time passes so quickly, she's a 21 year old young woman now and continuing to stretch that creative mind of hers to the fullest studying Interior Design at SCAD in Lacoste France.

If you are interested in seeing what she's been creating for the last 6 years you can go to her web site www.fashionablylauren.com
