I grew up in a house where the ol' Bernina sewing machine was always in action. My mother made a lot of my sister's and my clothing when we were growing up, so we just naturally learned how to sew from the pro. Mom is 78 now and still makes the most cherished robes for all of her 10 grandchildren. I hope to be able to do something like that when I'm old enough to be a grandmother :)
What else about me...I'm a phys. ed. teacher by profession , however, I took a break from teaching to raise my family and I never made it back to the gym (other than my daily visits to the YMCA).
I now teach little ones at the Charlotte Jr. Gym, so I still get to run and play with children - what fun! It's a great program for young children, check it out at http://charlottejrgym.com
The rest of my time is spent sharing my love of sewing with young ladies who are eager to learn how to sew.

Where did you get all the cool sewing machines? If I lived closer, I'd definitely sign up for one of your classes! I didn't inherit the sewing gene in the family!!!! But I can crochet up a storm!
